MAYA BALAM & KUCHUMATAN, QUINTANA ROO

Maya Balam & Kuchumatan were devastated by hurricane Dean in 2007.  They did not have radio to warn them of the approaching hurricane.  This is what was left of their church.

Above is the outreach team delivering bags of  clothes, shoes,flour, beans, canned meat, maize, rice , oil and other sustaining foods.  These people were forgotten due to the politics in Mexico.  They are not officially Mexican nationals because they migrated from Guatemala to escape the turmoil there years ago therefore they were off the radar as far as  assistance.  Pastor Diego has since made many trips to Maya Balem and nearby villages delivering further assistance and encouragement to the pastors in the area.
